Jeremy Zuniga, DDS, MS
Dr. Jeremy Zuniga is a Board Certified Orthodontist who truly understands how beneficial it is to have a trusted partner in a child’s orthodontic care. He was first introduced to the profession as an adolescent growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. After experiencing the confidence-boosting effects of orthodontics firsthand, he discovered a passion for it and sought to follow in his doctor’s footsteps to bring that feeling to others. He is excited to be fulfilling his lifelong dream through his work at Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates.
Dr. Zuniga moved to the Boston area while still in high school to pursue an unlikely ambition for a California kid: ice hockey. He loved Boston so much that he decided to stay for college and completed his pre-dental studies at Tufts University in Boston. He then attended Columbia University in New York, where he received both his dental and orthodontic training. Dr. Zuniga earned his DDS from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2010, where he was president of his class. Afterward, he completed a three-year orthodontic residency through which he earned his master’s degree in orthodontics.
While at Columbia, Dr. Zuniga won a national research award at the American Dental Association’s Annual Meeting, the New York Academy of Dentistry Exemplary Professional Conduct Award, and the OMS Foundation Daniel M. Laskin Award for the best published paper. He is also very proud to have achieved his board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, which demonstrates the highest level of achievement in orthodontic training and excellence in patient care.
Dr. Zuniga is a member of the Professional Advocacy Council of Orthodontics and the American Association of Orthodontics – and became a valued member of our practice in 2014. He now lives in Belmont, the birthplace of his wife, Lucinda, and their two children. To this day, hockey remains one of Dr. Zuniga’s most cherished pastimes, along with running and traveling.
