Fatima Aziz, DMD

Pediatric Dentist

Fatima Aziz

Dr. Fatima Aziz has a lifelong connection with the CPDA family. A Cambridge native, she’s been a part of the practice since childhood when she became a patient of Dr. McEachern! Later, upon entering Tufts University, she was exploring career possibilities when Dr. McEachern reached out to gauge her interest in dentistry. She was already attracted to the hands-on aspect of healthcare (she was considering becoming a surgeon) when she accepted an invitation to explore a dentistry career at CPDA…and the rest is history. After experiencing the high level of patient interaction, the opportunity to grow with her patients and their families, and the practice’s focus on applied health sciences, she decided on becoming a pediatric dentist.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts in biology, French, and economics, she earned her DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Aziz completed her pediatric dental training in the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine Pediatric Department, where she cultivated her interest in managing the dental growth and development of children and took additional courses in child psychology. She is certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentists, and a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Aziz truly enjoys working alongside her lifelong dental mentor and the talented team at CPDA. For Dr. Aziz, dentistry is not just about caring for teeth. It’s about establishing a solid foundation in oral health by teaching her patients about the important connection between their oral health and overall well-being. This often begins during the earliest visits. Dr. Aziz and Dr. Rao share the responsibility of seeing babies for their introductory one-year visit, which are some of her favorite experiences. One of the reasons she became a pediatric dentist was for the opportunity to make each patient’s visit, from the very first, a happy one.

Ultimately, Dr. Aziz’s goal is to help her patients feel knowledgeable and invested in their dental healthcare. She enjoys getting to know the families and the children she treats, seeing how they grow and develop from young children who were once anxious about the dentist to confident teens who understand and appreciate the importance of their oral health.

Dr. Aziz lives with her husband, daughter, and son in Boston. They are an adventurous family who have hiked together through rainforests in Puerto Rico, to Mayan ruins, and through cloud forests in Costa Rica! They love taking advantage of living in New England, particularly enjoying skiing and beach trips along the Cape and coastal Maine. Dr. Aziz speaks French as well as Urdu and Hindi.
