George McEachern III, DMD
Pediatric Dentist

Dr. George McEachern, the founder of CPDA, dedicated his life’s work to Pediatric Dentistry. Since establishing the practice in 1970, he centered his philosophy on providing holistic, child-based care, and has steadily guided CPDA’s development into one of the most well-regarded “dental homes” for children in the region.
Dr. McEachern’s caring, personal approach, echoed by the current team and mentees of his, inspires incredible loyalty in his patients. His colleagues are equally dedicated. His legacy is of a team focused on providing exceptional, individualized care and an environment where children and families feel safe, comfortable, and respected.
In 1966, Dr. McEachern earned his DMD from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. He then served as a United States Air Force dental officer at RAF Lakenheath in England (he retired as a USAF Captain). Following his service, he returned to Boston to complete an internship and residency at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center, graduating in 1970 and opening CPDA, the first pediatric dental practice in Cambridge.
His mentees, Drs. Aziz and Rao, take pride in carrying forth his legacy of leadership and excellence in the practice of pediatric and orthodontic dentistry–from their own clinical care to assembling a team of highly knowledgeable, renowned, skilled, and patient centric practitioners.
Dr. McEachern is enjoying retirement with golf, family time and travel–and occasional visits to his CPDA family!
