Our History
In 1970, Dr. George McEachern established the first dental practice in Cambridge dedicated solely to the treatment of children. Since then, Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates has earned a reputation as being one of the most experienced and respected pediatric dental and orthodontic practices in eastern Massachusetts.
Over the ensuing decades, Dr. McEachern and his team have provided caring, personalized treatment to thousands upon thousands of young patients who come to CPDA from Cambridge, Boston, Arlington, Belmont, Brookline, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Newton, Somerville, Watertown, Winchester, and beyond. Dr. Fatima Aziz grew up in the Cambridge community and was a patient of Dr. McEachern growing up. She was mentored by him and came to work with him after dental school. Dr. Ramya Rao and Dr. Fatima Aziz went to dental school together and worked for seven years together under the close mentorship of Dr. McEachern prior to his retirement.
Dr. McEachern’s original patients are now bringing their children—and even grandchildren—to CPDA to receive the exceptional pediatric dental and orthodontic care that the practice is known for. Drs. Aziz, Rao and their team take great pride in carrying on the legacy of CPDA. Invariably, patients leave with a beautifully improved smile that gives kids confidence (known around Cambridge as “The McEachern Smile”) and a positive relationship with dentistry that will benefit them throughout their lives.
