X-Ray Imaging

X-Ray (radiographic) imaging is a component of optimal modern dental care. At Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates, we are proud of our history of conservative and thoughtful use of x-ray imaging for all patients. Radiographic imaging is sometimes critical to making a proper diagnosis and treatment proposal. As children grow, it is exciting to experience the dramatic changes occurring as new teeth emerge, primary teeth are replaced by permanent teeth, and the mature dentition evolves. During this complex process, radiographic imaging may be recommended to permit the dentist to monitor and guide the changes appropriately.

CPDA is equipped with the best digital radiographic equipment. Our protocols for radiographic imaging are based upon our commitment to minimizing exposure for every patient. Thoughtful individualization and care, and parental consent are core to our approach. We welcome patient and parental questions about our suggestions of radiographic imaging.
