Safety Makes a House a Home
When it was first built near the turn of the last century, our facility was simply a house on Massachusetts Avenue. Now, after 50 years as a pillar of warmth and trust in our community, Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates continues to be the proud dental home for the many families of Cambridge area children. In addition to our team of compassionate providers, we suspect that our home-like facility with window views from every space has helped each of you feel welcome and comfortable. It is because of our patients that each of us who serve you value the many stairway steps we achieve daily.
The challenges of providing optimal healthcare during a pandemic have made the advantages of our facility ever more clear to us. For generations, infection control and universal precautions have been precepts of dentistry, and the safety of our patients and our team has always been our first priority.
Earlier this year, during the several months of mandated interruption of normal healthcare, the need for indoor air quality control emerged as a necessity in healthcare and so many aspects of everyday life.
Although we are fortunate to have plentiful windows that can be opened for fresh air and a front porch that has since served as a refuge for arriving patients and accompanying parents, we have taken upon ourselves to go a step further to ensure a safer dental experience.
We have since researched and then acquired the air filtration equipment that we anticipate would provide utmost safety for our patient families and our professional team. The above photo shows all five models of HEPA air filtration that we are now using to remove even the smallest particles in all of our treatment and common areas.
In addition to air purification, we have implemented all the COVID-19 safety protocols along with comprehensive online screening forms.
As Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates begins our 51st year, we are confident and proud to maintain leadership in thoughtful pediatric dental and orthodontic practice. We are thankful for your trust and loyalty, and we are thankful for “This Old House”.
