Scheduling Coordinator Rebecca Michel has always found it rewarding to take care of other people. And ever since childhood she’s had a deep interest in healthcare. These two passions merged when, in high school, her childhood dentist offered her the opportunity to intern in his office to get a feel for the dental field. She immediately fell in love with dentistry and decided to get trained as a dental assistant to launch her career. And now she cannot imagine doing anything else!
Rebecca loves working with children and particularly enjoys the unique role she and the CPDA team have in helping kids develop healthy, positive relationships with dentistry from an early age. For her, it’s a privilege to help teach children learn lifelong oral hygiene skills and to watch them grow up from year to year. She loves catching up with each one at every visit, hearing their stories of summer adventures, vacations, and going-on at school. This personal interaction is just one part of making coming to the dentist a fun and educational experience for CPDA kids.
Outside of work, Rebecca extends her commitment to children by doing volunteer work with programs that assist disadvantaged youth. She also loves animals and can often be found donating time to the ASPCA and local animal shelters or cuddling up to her own pup, Nova, at her Framingham home. She and her husband are avid hikers and travelers. They also love exploring Boston, trying out new restaurants and catching a Red Sox game whenever possible. Go Sox!
