As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Kerri Avenell has dedicated her career to helping her patients learn about caring for their teeth and maintaining their oral health. She joined our practice in 2005 and has over 20 years of experience in the field!
Born and raised in Medford, she became interested in dentistry while working at a dental practice in high school. The hygiene staff there actually inspired her own career pursuits. She then went on to study at the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists at Northeastern University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. An outgoing person, Kerri loves the social aspects of her job. She considers interaction with patients the best part of her role as an oral hygiene educator. To Kerri, this makes each visit an exciting change of pace and gives her the opportunity to form close relationships with her patients—many of whom she sees year after year.
Kerri continues to live in Medford with her husband, three children, two dogs, and one pet tortoise. She and her family enjoy frequent visits to Cape Cod and she can often be found reading or taking walks during her downtime.
